Shamita Shetty

B-town starlets have always shared an interesting chemistry with both Indian and international cricketers. The latest addition to that list are Shamita Shetty and Shane Warne.
Interestingly, Shane is the captain-cum-coach of the Rajasthan Royals, co-owned by Shamita's sister Shilpa Shetty and her beau Raj Kundra.
It is learnt that Shamita and Shane grew close during this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) tour. Reveals a source, "Warne is known to be a ladies' man. He met the younger Shetty just once before the IPL. They spent time during early post-win celebrations while in South Africa. Since then, they've bonded and kept in touch. The actress is familiar with Shane's colourful past and is wisely keeping her distance."
And so, while the matches were on in Cape Town, the players were put up at The Southern Sun, Cape Sun hotel. Meanwhile, Shamita was staying at The One And Only Hotel in Cape Town with sister Shilpa and her beau Raj.
Chupke-chupke
Sources claimed Shane was seen cosying up to Shamita at a South African nightclub. When the media got wind of it and landed up there, Shamita took the back exit and left.
On her link-up with Shane, she insists, "I've interacted with him only three times." About being seen at a club with him, she retorts, "It was a match-win party where all my friends and family were present and so were the RR players, Warne included. I wasn't there with him all alone."

Shilpa to donate 6k for every six hit by RR

Shilpa Shetty is the mood for philanthropy. After adopting four villages through NDTV Greenathon, (see box) she has now decided to contribute money to these villages each time a Rajasthan Royals batsman hits a sixer.

A source close to Shilpa says, "Whenever a player of Rajasthan Royals (the team Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have a 12 per cent stake in) hits a six, Shilpa will contribute Rs 6000 to one of these villages."

Doing her bit Initially, Shilpa wanted to donate the money to her charitable organisation, The Shilpa Shetty Foundation (SSF). Since the Lighting A Billion Lives project aims at solar-powering villages across the country, she decided to support that cause and give the money to the villages.

A friend of the actress reveals, "Shilpa has started SSF as she wants to make sure that the money raised for charity reaches out actually to the people concerned and is not misused. She intends to put whatever money she raises into this foundation. Shilpa will also shoot pictures and videos of the progress made and put them up on her website. She wants to donate to her two pet causes — the upliftment of children and their education. She feels God has given her so much she needs to do her bit towards charity."
