March 17, 2008 (Celebmagic.blogspot.com) - Aishwarya Rai presented her father, Krishnaraj Rai, with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Seventh Annual Sailor Seafarer Awards on Saturday, March 15, late evening at Royal Palms, Goregaon, Mumbai.

Krishna, a marine biologist, served in the merchant navy.

Aishwarya, is beginning to look chubby and we haven’t seen her in a form revealing dress for some time. There was a glow on her face at the event but we are not suggesting anything, lest we be accused of crossing the line of decency.

Besides, women put on weight all the time and you would expect them to glow with pride if their fathers were felicitated!

The former Miss World (1994) wore a sleeveless pink bare back dress with a ruched empire waist and an A line skirt. It had a bateau neckline and vertical pleats on the bodice.

We love the color of Aishwarya’s hair, a darker shade of brown, but are beginning to tire of her current styling – asymmetric cut, long bangs with an off center parting and tresses falling over her shoulder and to the front.

She was wearing the same diamond studded oval hoops that she wore at the MAMI awards with her yellow churidar outfit. But her finger adornments have changed - She wore a chunky ring on her index finger, a V shape diamond ring on the right hand, a chunky sapphire ring on the left middle finger and a diamond ring on the left hand ring finger.

Also present on the occasion were Aishwarya's mother, Vrinda Rai, a writer, her brother, Aditya Rai, who served as an engineer in the merchant navy and co-produced her film Dil Ka Rishta (2003).

Abhishek Bachchan is currently in Jaipur shooting for Dilli 6.
